Good to know
Do I need special equipment?
No specialist equipment. Any phone or camera works. Film from behind the baseline with the whole court in frame, using a tripod or another stable mount. No sensors or dedicated camera rig required.
How long does analysis take?
Roughly as long as the footage you upload — a 10-minute match is typically ready in 5–10 minutes. You don't need to keep the app open; your match appears the moment it's done.
What are the video and submission limits?
Free accepts up to two analysis submissions per UTC day and 1–10 minutes of selected footage per video. Pro accepts up to 10 submissions per UTC day and 1–20 minutes per video. Both plans can run up to two analyses at once, and every accepted analysis uses at least 3 minutes from the monthly allowance. The app prepares and uploads one local video at a time, then lets you submit another while the first analysis continues.
How accurate is it?
Very good on well-filmed footage — it finds the overwhelming majority of rallies with tight boundaries. And when it does miss one, you're never stuck: add, trim or remove any rally in a couple of taps.
What footage does it NOT work on?
It needs a fixed camera with the whole court in frame — ideally behind the baseline. Handheld filming that pans around, extreme side angles, clips where the court is mostly cut off, or very dark venues will hurt results. One court per video works best.
Does it work for doubles?
Yes — singles and doubles are both supported, and the app detects which one you're playing.
What about other people in my videos?
Everyone filmed must consent to being recorded and analysed — you confirm this each time you upload a video. ShuttleSense is for ages 16+.
Where is my data stored?
Encrypted and stored with reputable cloud providers. Source videos expire independently after 7 days on Free or 90 days on Pro. Under the planned cloud-highlight policy, generated highlights last 7 days on Free or while Pro is active, followed after cancellation and the paid term by a 30-day download grace period. You can store up to 200 cloud highlights. Copies you download or save to Photos or your gallery stay under your control.
Can I delete one highlight without deleting my account?
Yes. You can permanently delete an individual cloud highlight, delete a match and its associated cloud highlights, or delete your whole account. Cloud deletion cannot remove a copy you already downloaded or saved to Photos or your device gallery.
Are paid subscriptions available?
